FEMRITE Membership
FEMRITE has three categories of membership

1. Full membership
This category is made up of Uganda women who are creative writers and are actively writing. This category also requires one to be able to actively participate in the activities of the association regularly. They can also stand for any elective office.


2. Associate membership
This category is comprised of women creative writers who are interested in being members but are either out of the country or for some other reasons are not able to participate fully in the activities of the association.


3. Honorary membership
This category is conferred upon individual members or institutions that have shown solid support to FEMRITE either morally or financially. So far, FEMRITE has five honorary members, Dr Thomas Egwang, Dr Austin Bukenya, Dr Monica Chibita Dr Maggie Gee and Addy Beukema.

Currently, FEMRITE has about 100 members although only about 60% of them are active writers.

Induction workshops are always organised for new members.

The FEMRITE general meeting will take place on Saturday 18th September starting at 9.00am at the FEMRITE offices.
